Everything on this site today is free, and stays free: safety scores for 6,168 cities, official advisories, areas to avoid, conflict hotspots and the country context behind them. All of it comes from published datasets, which is exactly what makes it scale to every city at once — and also what it cannot tell you.
What published data cannot answer
No dataset says which district to book, whether the train from the airport is fine after dark, or which taxi arrangement is the safe one in a particular city. Those answers exist, but they are city-specific and have to be written and sourced one city at a time. That is the paid briefing.
What a briefing contains
- Where to stay — districts that suit a visitor, and the ones worth avoiding, with the reasoning stated.
- Arrival and getting around — airport transfers, taxis versus ride-hailing, public transport, and how the answer changes after dark.
- Written for your trip — separate notes for solo, female, LGBTQ+ and business travellers, including a duty-of-care summary with the current advisory level and its date.
- Every figure on the free page, explained — what the score is built from and what it does and does not cover.
- Cited and dated — every claim carries its source, generated fresh at purchase, delivered as a web page and a PDF.
